Portugal's foreign office chose to fully recognize the Palestinian diplomatic mission as an embassy, and its head as official ambassador of Palestine in Lisbon.
Palestine's foreign ministry added that the recognition takes place within a frame built over more than three years of work, to review and requalify at an higher degree the Palestinian diplomatic presence abroad, on the road for a full Palestinian statehood.
