E per questo motivo é solamente naturale che in Siria ci sia molta simpatia e molto interesse verso l'Italia, vista naturalmente come una terra di grande tradizione, storia, arte, cultura, un legame rafforzato dai tanti lasciti di 'Romanitas' che ancora punteggiano, impreziosendola, la Siria stessa, ma poi rinnovato e rafforzato a più riprese anche in tempi più recenti.
